2 - ADMINISTRATION & POLICY REGISTER

The overall management of the Association is based on equal representation for each member club.

Thus all clubs may nominate one of their members to attend general meetings to represent their club with voting rights.

Day to day management rests with the Management Committee (ManCom) of 10 Officers

who are elected at the AGM and serve until the following AGM.

The Officers and club representatives form a General Committee with each having a single vote.

General Committee meetings are only held if felt absolutely necessary by the Chairman

 There is an AGM annually usually towards the end of April and ManCom meetings are held as required.

The Officers of the Association follow standards and guidelines documented in the

NYSMBA POLICY REGISTER which are shown below.

POLICY REGISTER

This set of documents and forms determine how the Association is run and the standards that have been agreed.

They do not form part of the Constitution and are to be regarded as guidelines only.

Any Policy may be changed in the light of experience but any significant changes are only made after discussion and agreement by the Management Committee.

  Proposals for changes from clubs or individuals can be submitted to the Secretary for presentation at a General Meeting for consideration.   

Proposals to change the CONSTITUTION (1a) or the DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES (1d) MUST be referred to the AGM for agreement.
